Dear Editor;

I would like to respond to the letter to the editor in the March 1st paper.

These hunters get called by farmers because they WANT them to hunt coyotes. They are getting too numerous and are coming to farms and killing farm animals and pets. Coyotes are not in the same category as humans and pets. They are wild animals and they eat our pets. Talk to the ones who have had a dog killed or maimed from a coyote. If left unchecked, coyotes could start coming closer to our towns. There is a reason the coyote season is all year long. There are just too many! These hunters are hunting legally!

Hunters need to stop being harassed.
