Supporters gathered at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital (GCMH) Foundation's Fall Fling luncheon and style show this past Thursday. More than 250 women attended the event at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Reinbeck and helped to raise more than $16,500.00 to support the GCMH Foundation. A portion of the funds were raised specifically to fund the purchase of a new 14 passenger bus for the GCMH Long Term Care and to provide for activities that utilize the bus, including visits to local communities.
The Fall Fling offered women from around the area an opportunity to gather and enjoy an afternoon together. GCMH Chef Woody and Chef Breanna prepared lunch for guests and students from the Dike-New Hartford High School Student Council served the meal. A style show that featured clothing from Jennifer's on Main in Cedar Falls was the main event, followed by a raffle drawing and door prizes.
Forty centerpieces of scarves, jewelry, and purses were donated by local businesses for the Fall Fling and each was given away as a door prize to one of the women in attendance.

Also, a special thank you to Jennifer's on Main for putting on another wonderful style show.
