Notice: The return of Mike Anderson, the Dulcimer Guy! Mike was here last June for a summer reading program. He is coming back on Tuesday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m. for children's story time. An experienced elementary school teacher, Mike performs songs and tells stories. This program will have a Halloween theme. Mike comes all the way from Illinois, and will be performing later in the day at both the Wellsburg and Kling Library in Grundy Center. More information about Mike Anderson may be found at

Mary Loynachan and Pat Shutters were here on October 2 to do the children's story time. Children attending enjoyed an "alphabet" program.

During the month of October, the library display case will feature 4-H exhibits taken to the Grundy County and state fairs. This includes a variety of items from photographs to a piata. Be sure to stop in and see it.

Fans of Al Bell will be happy to learn that Walt and Connie Miller donated the entire DVD set: Al Bell's World of Films, to the library. This includes 7 discs with all 29 films from 1950 to 1977. We especially appreciate this, since the recent Al Bell memories program has generated more interest in his films.

New books include: Paterno by Joe Posnanski, The Spymasters by W.E.B. Griffin, Dancing Dogs by Jon Katz, A Fool's Gold Christmas by Susan Mallery, The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling.

Young adult books: The Diviners by Libba Bray, Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Patterson, and Advent by James Treadwell.

We also have a couple of new children's books: Pete the Cat Saves Christmas by Eric Litwin and What Time is It? It's Duffy Time by Audrey Wood.
