Parent teacher conferences are Monday, October 22nd, and Thursday, October 25th. They are held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the commons. As students and parents enter, they are handed a file that holds the student's grades and school work. They are then directed to a table where teachers meet with them briefly to discuss the student's progress. Parent teacher conferences give parents the chance to see how their children are doing in school and to ask any questions they may have.
Parent teacher conferences occur twice a year. During the past few years, student and parental attendance for 9th and 10th grade has been about 55%. The attendance for 11th and 12th grade has been about 45%. Attendance for all grades has been about eight percent higher in the fall than in the spring. The conferences are an excellent way to promote an exchange of information between students, parents, and teachers.
