Miracle on Main

November 4, 2012
Sharon Hoffmann-Wambold , Reinbeck Courier

T minus 8 days and counting, what seemed to have been forever away, is now within a straight shot across the calendar, Reinbeck's Miracle on Main, community holiday celebration, Nov. 9 with activities running from 5:30-11 p.m.

Individuals and organizations are busy decorating trees for display at LSB and musical groups are fine 'tuning' their performance numbers for the event. Business are 'decking their halls' with more than boughs of holly and grandma's in the kitchen creating a bounty of holiday treats to tantalize even the most discriminating palates. Hurricane Sandy is even bringing winter to other parts of the country (we will just visualize THAT, thank you very much!) It is safe to say, preparations are well underway and in good hands, so that all who plan to attend will have an exceptional time.

For out of town folks (and locals who have missed previous info), here's a quick overview. The evening begins with LSB's gift, a fabulous soup supper at the Memorial Building beginning at 5:30. Businesses along Main Street will have open houses, wine tasting and holiday treats available for visitors. Mrs. Claus and the Mr. will be available for story time and sharing wish-lists! Trains, trolleys, trees and tunes will happen all around town throughout the evening. Middle schoolers will have activities specifically designed for them. There is something for everyone. Schedules will be available throughout Main Street.

This is a beautiful and fun way to kick off the holiday season. We hope you will join our celebration. See you in Reinbeck next Friday.
