The beauty of the Christmas season is reflected in the way homes are decorated each year for the holidays. Four Grundy Center homeowners are opening their homes and their holiday dcor to the public Sunday afternoon for a Holiday Tour of Homes.
The homes will be open on Sunday, December 16, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A tour map may be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce office, Stylish Living, GNB Bank, or Greenbelt Bank. Tickets may also be purchased at any of the homes on the tour on Sunday.
Homes on the tour showcase a variety of styles, from the traditional farmhouse and rustic dcor of the Paul and Mindy Hamann home, to a modern home in one of the community's newest neighborhoods, owned by Dr. Eric and Lisa Opheim. The ranch style home of Mike and Linda Larson is decorated top to bottom for Christmas, featuring six distinctly different Christmas trees. The country home of Dean and Kristie Salo features Kristie's artistic ability showcased in her variety of natural decorations and ornaments.
Proceeds from the Holiday Tour of Homes will benefit ongoing projects of the Grundy Center Chamber of Commerce, including summertime Farmers Market and Bandstand entertainment activities.
