Janet Slessor , Reinbeck Courier

Dorothy Keith and Sherris Brown were here for story time on December 4. We will have a special guest, Mrs. Claus on Tuesday, December 18th at 10:00, then story time will be taking a break until after the first of the year.

New at the library this week: A DVD of the Reinbeck Centennial slide show from 1976. This is in addition to the DVD we had made of the old film reels of the centennial. The slide show DVD was made possible with funding from Fred Strohbehn. It may go out for a week at a time, and it circulates with a descriptive list, since the original slides were labeled.

New books include four purchased with memorial money for Marguerite Clausman given by Curt & Dorene McDougall, Mary & Tom Doran, and Sandy and Ken Henk: Main Street Public Library by Wayne Wiegand and three large print: Killing Kennedy by Bill O'Reilly, The Bridge by Karen Kingsbury and Notorious Nineteen by Janet Evanovich.

Other books include: Nonfiction: Inside the Red Tent by Sandra Hack Polaski, Libertarianism by Jason Brennan.

Fiction: Agenda 21 by Glenn Beck, Frozen Heat by Richard Castle, Threat Vector by Tom Clancy, Nano by Robin Cook, Dark Places and Sharp Objects both by Gillian Flynn, Shadow Creek by Joy Fielding, Miss Dreamsville and the Collier County Women's Literary Society by Amy Hill Hearth, The First Prophet by Kay Hooper, Come to the Table by Neta Jackson, Wyoming Tough by Diana Palmer, Private London by James Patterson, Paper Angels by Jimmy Wayne, Beyond the Storm by Carolyn Zane.

Children's: I Have a Dream by Martin Luther King Jr. This includes a CD with the official recording of the speech.
