The Grundy County Area Parkinson's Support Group will meet May 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 439 Church St. in Dike.
The special speaker, Kristin S. Meyer, PharmD, CGP, CACP, FASCP, is an Associate Professor in Pharmacy Practice at Drake University College of Pharmacy who also works with Health Sciences at Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
She and pharmacy students will talk about new stuff that's out to help in the battle against Parkinson's, the old standby meds, cautions about the use of meds with proteins, use of vitamin Bs, interactions of meds as well as topics brought by meeting attendees.
Everyone is welcome in joining in to meet Kristin and learn about medications and their part in fighting Parkinson's.
