Reinbeck received a downpour last Wednesday a.m. of a much needed rain.
Crop duster, Ronald Cook, 59, Salix, received minor injuries when his crop duster plane crashed 4 miles south of Aplington. His plane was a total loss.

Stephen Payette, 49, Reinbeck, died unexpectedly on August 12 at his home.
Gertrude Arends, 86, Dike, died August 12 at Allen Hospital.
Cyrrel Redechel, 78, Grundy Center, died August 13 at the Long Term Care Unit at the Grundy Memorial Hospital.

A grease pit fire at Robby's station and a grass fire at the west edge of Reinbeck were extinguished by the Reinbeck Fire Dept. this past week.
