Heather Wagner & Brian Ehrig were married Aug. 9 at the United Presbyterian Church in Traer.

Sarah Sparks and Derek Bruner will be married on Dec. 20 at the First Baptist Church in Marshalltown.

Erv Petersohn will celebrate his 90th birthday on Oct. 25 with an open house.

Donald J. Cooley, 76, Sun City, Ariz. died Oct. 19 at the home of his sister.

Mark Damisch, 37, died Oct. 12 as a result of fatal injuries he sustained in a plane accident near Queen Anne, Md.


OCT. 21, 1993

Board of Directors of Lincoln Savings Bank held ground breaking ceremonies on Oct. 14 for a new $1.5 million main office.

Ten year old Kyle Blohm was seriously injured on Oct. 14 when an all terrain vehicle driven by Tyler Blohm flipped over on his parents farm south of Reinbeck.

Cynthia Mussig and Jeffrey Linder were married on Oct. 14.

Marcella Mason celebrated her 80th birthday at the Waterloo Amvets.

Mr. & Mrs. Kirk Folkerts. Cypress, Texas, are parents of a son born Oct. 7.

Mr. & Mrs. Craig Koonce, Conrad, are parents of a daughter born Oct. 12.

Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey Love are parents of a son born Oct. 8.

Jake Muller, 68, Grundy Center, died Oct. 17 at his home.

Blackwood Bothers will be in concert on Sunday evening, Oct. 30.

Pioneer officials fined in Kristine Roberts hit and run case in which Kristine Roberts was seriously injured against Dale Bruns, formerly of Waterloo, now of Lincoln, Neb.

Mr. & Mrs. Ron Reab, Waterloo, are parents of a daughter born Oct. 18.

Hermina Alberts, 88, Grundy Center, died Oct. 24.

Ramettes volleyball team won first round of sectional play in 3 straight games.


NOV. 1, 1973

James Rickert, 48, died of injuries sustained in a power take off mishap at his farm home.

Work began on an addition to Lincoln Savings Bank with an approximate cost of $20,000.

Curtis D. Middleton, 20, Grundy Center, was found dead in Iowa City. Death was ruled a suicide by Johnson Co. Medical Examiner.

David "D.J." Abels, Jr. son of Mr. & Mrs. David Abels, Sr. of Grundy Center, received massive head injuries in a fall at his grandparents home six weeks ago and is showing rapid improvements after being in a coma.

Emil Ackerman, 87, Reinbeck, died Oct. 24 at Woodlawn Nursing Home in Waterloo.


OCT. 31, 1963

Joyce Block was crowned Homecoming Queen.

Firemen were called to the old elementary school building to be razed when a junk fire got out of control.

Jacob Manley, 66, died Oct. 26.

Mr. & Mrs. Robert Isenhower visited Reinbeck, sister city of Reinbeck, Iowa.

Warren Hall is having a complete closing out farm sale near Dinsdale on Nov. 5.


OCT. 1953

Edna Martens of Lincoln and Jack Ramsey were married Oct. 27.

Mr. & Mrs. Maurice Bolt are parents of a son born Oct. 27

Mr. & Mrs. Dale Strohbehn are parents of a daughter born Oct. 28.

Darlene Redfearn and Lowell Marts have announced their approaching marriage on Nov. 21.


OCT. 1943

Maxine Ehlers has enlisted in the Waves.

Wm. Heithoff purchased the Meewes estate house and two lots for $3,500.

Agnes Thrasher, 73, formerly of Reinbeck, died in Vinton on Oct. 21.

Mr. & Mrs. Erwin Heller are parents of a son born Oct. 28.
