Rebels withstand A-P uprising for 10th straight

PARKERSBURG - Class 1A No. 7-ranked Gladbrook-Reinbeck outscored Aplington-Parkersburg 18-7 in the fourth quarter to erase a late deficit and defeat the Falcons 63-53 in Tuesday night's cross-NICL boys' basketball game.

Zach Pierce and Camden Kickbush led the Rebels (18-2) with 15 points apiece, including five 3-pointers for Kickbush. Colton Dinsdale added 11 points, Cameron Clark had 10, while Chase Clark and Joe Smoldt chipped in six points apiece.

Pierce pulled down a team-leading nine rebounds, while Dinsdale had five assists. Chase Clark tallied three steals in the team's 10th straight win.

The Falcons (8-13) got a game-high 20 points from Nick Waller, who made four 3-pointers. Alex Johnson added 11 points, while Ross Cooper compiled nine points, 13 rebounds and five assists.
