Grundy County Extension is offering two more training sessions this season for applicators needing to maintain their private pesticide certification. Each training session is two hours long and focuses on the laws, regulations and pest management strategies for agricultural crops.
The next recertification session of the year will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 15 at the Grundy Center Community Center.
The last chance for recertification in Grundy County will then be held Thursday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Grundy Center Community Center.
License holders can attend recertification sessions at any location in the state, so if the Grundy County dates do not work, simply contact the Extension office for a list of dates and times in surrounding counties.
Those needing to obtain their initial private pesticide certification or who have let their certification expire must take a written test. Study materials may be purchased from the Extension Office for a small fee.
