Tama County Historical Society to hold Laura Ingalls Wilder program on May 3

TOLEDO-"Little House on the Prairie" author Laura Ingalls Wilder will be the focus of a Humanities Iowa program on Wednesday, May 3, at 7:00 p.m. at the Tama County Historical Society and Genealogical Library, 200 N. Broadway St. Toledo. The program is free and open to the public.

Sarah Uthoff will present the program in costume as Wilder, presenting photos and stories from Wilder's life that were immortalized in her beloved books. Uthoff has a bachelor's degree in history education and a master of library science from the University of Iowa. She is director of the Oxford Public Library and a reference librarian at Kirkwood Community College. An avid Wilder researcher, she has spoken at five Wilder sites and has consulted with the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Burr Oak.
