FFA convention and expo

April 30, 2017
Reinbeck Courier

The 89th Annual State FFA Convention and Expo was recently held in Ames, Iowa. It was held on Iowa State University's campus on April 9-11 and this year's theme was TRANSFORM Purpose to Action. The keynote address was by Kevin Laue who is 7 feet tall and is the first player to play NCAA Division I basketball who was missing a limb. His inspirational story challenged everyone to think about the challenges facing others, and to see your own problems in a new light.

The Grundy Center FFA participated in many events throughout the convention and was extremely pleased with their success! Listed are the awards that the chapter received:

Poultry Judging Bronze: Brianna Heltibridle, Abby Feldpausch, and Leah Mosher, Libby Ross
