It's time for our annual summer reading program for kids who were in the 6th grade and below this school year.

They may sign up at the library now. Children not yet in school may take part also. The theme this year is Build a Better World. We have the following programs, all of which will be held at the Memorial Building: Please note days and times since they vary from week to week:

Tuesday, June 6: 2:00 p.m. Grout Museum program

Thursday, June 15: 3:00 p.m. Magician Rick Eugene

Tuesday, Jun 20: 1:00 p.m. Keith West's Build a Better World with Miss Kitty the Library Lady

Wednesday, June 28: 3:00 p.m. Build a Better World with Polka Music (Pint Size Polkas by Mike Schneider)

Tuesday, July 11: 4:00 p.m. Build a Better World with Animals by Blank Part Zoo.

All of these programs are free and open to the public (even if you are not a kid).

Also of interest to all ages: The library is sponsoring a program at Westview Estates on Friday, June 30 at 2:00 p.m. Chad Lewis will do a program on Iowa's Most Haunted Locations. This program is also free and open to the public.

Our weekly Tuesday morning story times will not take place in June. They will resume in the later part of July.
