We have several new books purchased with money from recent memorial donations: Maynard 8 Miles by Brian Borland, Look Behind You by Iris and Roy Johansen, Paradise Valley by C.J. Box, and The Rent Collector by Camron Wright are in memory of D.E "Butch" Richter. Any Dream Will Do by Debbie Macomber, The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon (young adult book) and children's books: Questions Asked by Jostein Gaarder, What do you Do With a Problem? by Kobi Yamada and The Grouchy Ladybug (replacement copy) by Eric Carle are in memory of Lucille Anderson.

Other new books include: The Late Show by Michael Connelly, Deadfall by Linda Fairstein, The Confusion of Languages by Siobhan Fallon, Crime Scene by Jonathan and Jesse Kellerman, Secrets of the Tulip Sisters by Susan Mallery, The Map of Time by Felix Palma, The Breakdown by B.A. Paris, Letters for Emily by Camron Wright, The Lying Game by Ruth Ware, Barely Legal by Stuart Woods and The Beautiful Lost (young adult) by Luanne Rice.

We appreciate the talents of Angie Miller, who has done several story time programs this summer for us. We will finish off story time programs in August with Cherie Eckhoff on August 22 and Jordan from the Cedar Bend Humane Society on August 29. Both programs are at 10:00 a.m. We invite anyone who would like to make a donation to the Humane Society to leave it off at the library before August 29. The wish list may be seen on the library facebook page as well as the library website: www.reinbeck.lib.ia.us. Just click on the Cedar Bend Humane Society event under the news tab on the upper left.

Story time will continue during the school year at 10:00 on Tuesdays. Upcoming programs include yoga for kids with Cheryl Pease, stories with high school students and stories with Dean Staack.
