Dean of juggling performing at the Pioneer Craft Fair

September 3, 2017
Reinbeck Courier

The Historical Collections of Grundy County and the Grundy County Conservation Board are pleased to announce one of the highlights at this year's Pioneer Craft Fair, the Dean of Juggling! After first learning his skills in San Francisco, Dean Franzen has been entertaining crowds around the midwest for over 25 years. Each show is a unique combination of juggling, comedy, unicycling and audience participation. He performs with the usual props such as balls, clubs and rings but he also mixes in diablos, cigar boxes, devil sticks and many other forms of juggling.

Dean has performed at all types of family oriented events. He has performed at the Taste of Chicago, the BIX Street Festival, at many towns for RAGBRAI and at the International Jugglers Association annual convention. Dean and his wife, Jolene, live in Cedar Falls where he teaches Math at the University of Northern Iowa. More information can be found on Facebook at "Dean of Juggling."

Please join us for another great year at the Pioneer Craft Fair, September 10, 2017 from 11 a.m. 4 p.m.! There will be old favorites and new for the young and young at heart.
