GLADBROOK - Hunter Lott threw five touchdown passes to help Class A No. 2 Gladbrook-Reinbeck overcome an early deficit en route to a 38-13 win against BGM in Friday's District 5 win.

The Rebels (5-0, 3-0) extended their win streak to 27 consecutive games despite trailing the visiting Bears by a 7-3 margin early in the second quarter. G-R responded with a pair of long touchdown passes in the final 2:04 of the first half to take a 17-7 lead into the intermission.

Lott dropped a long pass into the lap of Walker Thede for a 64-yard score, then Matt Johannsen turned a screen pass into a 41-yard TD with 10 seconds left in the second quarter.

Lott found Thede twice more on 35- and 56-yard scoring plays in the third quarter, and then connected with Johannsen again for a 55-yard pass play in the fourth period.

Lott finished 10-for-14 for 354 yards with no interceptions. Thede hauled in five passes for 212 yards, and Johannsen had four grabs for 132 yards.
