Reinbeck Public Library centennial logo design contest

November 26, 2017
Reinbeck Courier

The library is 100 years old! The current building was built in November of 1917, using funds from a Carnegie grant. To celebrate, we would like to come up with a logo to be put on book bags. A photo of the original library may be found in the Reinbeck Centennial book, or a copy of the photo picked up at the library.

Guidelines: Deadline is Dec. 15, 2017. Entries are free and may be mailed, dropped off in person, or submitted by email to Please include your name and contact information. Library address is 501 Clark St., Reinbeck 50669.

Logo must be easily resized, look good in black and white, or color, and be suitable for printing. If emailed, formats accepted are JPG and PDF.

Entrants should be careful that their entries are not similar to existing logos or other copyrighted images and are original artwork.

The logo must contain the words Reinbeck Public Library and the dates 1917-2017.

The winning logo will be the property of the Reinbeck Public Library, to publish, display, or reproduce, to use in advertising through any type of media including but not limited to book bags, website, social media, signs, posters, envelopes, and brochures.

The winning design will be decided on December 22, 2017 by the board and staff of the Reinbeck Library. The winner will receive recognition on the library website, newspaper, and the right to identify him/herself as the logo designer, as well as the right to use the basic logo.

The Reinbeck Library reserves the right not to select a winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.

The winner shall give permission to the Reinbeck Public Library to make public the winner's name for publicity purposes. Further personal data is not required.
