Library events

February 25, 2018
Reinbeck Courier

Saturday, March 3, the library will be hosting two big events! The first is a special storytime in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday. Please meet upstairs at 10:00 for a celebration including stories, a craft, a reader's theatre and more!

The second event is a day-long event being held downstairs. The library will have a display of 20+ scrapbooks donated over the years for everyone to peruse on that same day from 11 - 4. There will be coffee and cookies available while you do so. Come and check out some of Reinbeck's history.

Also in during March while students are on spring break the library will be hosting several events just for kids. Follow on Facebook or watch for additional newspaper articles for more information. There will also be posters at Casey's, Trunck's and the library.

The library also is creating a "classic movie" section of dvds. There are around 40 movies collected so far. The American Film Association has a list of "100 Years.100 Movies" and the library is trying to collect as many as possible. Classics such as "Yankee Doodle Dandy," "The African Queen", "Psycho" and Casablanca" are already in the rack as well as more recent titles "The Godfather" and "Schindler's List". Donations of dvds from the list and/or money to help purchase more of these movies are greatly appreciated. Stop in and browse the list of those titles still needed as well as the racks of movies already here.
