Hannah Christopher Playing Soccer at Luther College

Decorah, Iowa - Hannah Christopher, a 2015 graduate of Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School, is a senior defender for the Luther College soccer team. The Norse are coached by Russ Schouweiler (83-59-9) who begins his eighth season at the helm of the program. During his tenure, he has directed the Norse to eight consecutive conference tournament appearances. He has been named conference Coach of the Year twice (2013, 2016) and in 2016 he led the Norse to their first appearance in the NCAA III National Tournament. The Norse have been picked to finish sixth in the American Rivers Conference - the Iowa Conference was renamed the American Rivers Conference August 9, 2018. Luther returns seven starters from a team that posted a record of 7-10-2 last season. Christopher is the daughter of Carol Christopher and Phil Chien and Bruce Christopher, all of Cedar Falls, Iowa. Luther College is a four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the Lutheran Church and is located in Decorah, Iowa. The Norse compete in 10 men’s and nine women’s intercollegiate sports. Since 1922, Luther’s men’s and women’s sports have combined to capture 246 conference championships. The men’s teams have won 166 and the women’s teams have won 80.
