The summer reading program for kids is over for another year. We had 114 children who signed up and 70 who turned in their reading logs for a chance at winning prizes in a drawing. The winners are: Ellie Miller – Magic School Bus dvd and book; Dylan Dinsdale- space transporter legos; Kiley Presar-Cat in the Hat dvd and Magic School Bus book; Natalee Brinkmeyer- Women of NASA lego; Carter Egesdal- mini rockets; Emma Haskovec-rocket construction tender leaf toy; Rylin Wrider – Playdoh gravel yard; Anna Van Hemert – PBS dvd; Shakya Sabbah – two Magic School Bus books; Breeya Olson- binoculars; Kinlee Eckhoff – paint set; Calvin Jacobi- bathtub crayons and board book; Allen Baker – Grundy Theater gift package; Vanessa Dunn – Grundy Theater gift package; Tyson Blohm – telescope; Britley Cheville- two Phelps Pavilion passes; Kooper Larsen – two Lost Island passes; Willa Monaghan- two Lost Island passes. On another note, we have quite a few new memorial books. More children’s books have been purchased with money from the family of Becky Peterson: “Badger’s Perfect Garden “ by Marsha Anold, “A Twin is to Hug” by Boni Ashburn, “Good Night Library” by Denise Bennan-Nelson; “Little Yellow Truck” by Eve Bunting, “A Journey From Dusk to Dawn” by Annie Cronin Romano; “This is My Room!”by Jennifer Jacobson, “Hannah Sparkles: Hooray for the First Day of School” by Robin Mellom, “The Book Hog” by Greg Pizzoli, “Me and my Grandpa” by Alison Ritchie, “You Made Me a Dad” by Laurenne Sala, “I’m Not Grumpy” by Steve Smallman, “Dragons Eat Noodles on Tuesdays” by Jon Stahl, “I Love You all Year Through” by Stephanie Stansbie, “Not Your Nest” by Gideon Sterer, “Felipe and Claudette” by Mark Teague, “The Tide” by Clare Helen Welsh, “Diggersaurs” by Michael Whaite, “Jasper Ollie” by Alex Willan.
