Jessica Balk and James Weissenfluh willl be married on Oct. 10. Michelle Purvis & Chris Heasley will be married Oct 17 at the First Presbyterian Church in Conrad, 20 YEARS AGO. Sept. 30, 1999 G-R school will receive $98,764 for anti & drug fight. Grain Warehouse Bureua of the Iowa Dept. of Agriculture reinstated license to the Dinsdale Elevator Ernie & Beth Larsen donated the Francis Shearn House to Queen of Heaven Catholic Ch. Michelle Beichley & Andy Koester are picked as King & Queen at Homecoming,. Grand opening of NAPA was a big success on Sept. 17. James Simmons, 51, Grundy Center, died Sept. 22 at his home, Mr. & Mrs. Don Rhoades will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a card shower. Melissa Stull 1999 G-R graduate, is a member of Luther golf team. 30 YEARS AGO OCT. 12, 1989 Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Fulkerson will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct.15. Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Fogt, Grundy Center, are parents of a daughter born Oct. 3. Greg Cash, 57, Grundy Center, died Oct. 9 Army Reserve Private Michelle Calderwood completed basic training at Fort Jackson, N.C 40 YEARS AGO OCT. 18, 1979 Cheryl Craig was crowned Homecoming Queen. Kim Storjohann was first place winner for her fire prevention poster. Rita Stephenson & Charles Felton were married Oct. 6. Dr. Gregory Schmidt has accepted the position of assistant Professor of Botany at the Un. of Georgia, Athens, GA. 50 YEARS AGO OCT. 16, 1969 Troy Alexander, 74, died Oct. 12 at his home. Michael Rickert has become an associate with B.E. Hunter. Shirley Seehusen & Louis Schildroth were married Oct. 4 at United Methodist Church. Mr. & Mrs. Clayton Claussen are parents of a daughter born Oct. 12. Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Sienknecht are parents of a son born Oct. 7. Professionals robbed the Wellsburg Post Office.
